Riku - Thinking of you

First picture I'm uploading of my Riku cosplay! When I first started on this outfit I thought it would be easier than the Trinity Blood costumes. But I really underestimated Riku. xD Lots of little details.. and the shirt was quite complicated to make. But me and ~xPandorae managed!

This outfit was also very comfortable to wear. I always want to jump and run around a convention so I took great care while making this cosplay that it will be sturdy.
Also, for the first time I really paid attention to the fabrics I would use, and not just searching for the right color. xD The light blue of the pants are made out of a very strong denim like fabric. This allowed me to crawl and move around as Riku would also like to do on Destiny Island. And the black parts of the shirt are made out of a very light material of which I also have a summer dress. xD That way the shirt wouldn't get too warm. Only the yellow part is of a more heavy material to keep it's shape nicely. I don't think Riku, who lives on a tropical island, would want a shirt that's too warm. xD

It's a shame you can't see the shoes here. D: They are made by drilling holes with an electric mini drill into a big white sports-shoe. and then I stitched all of the things it needed onto the shoe. This way nothing could just get lose while running around. :3

I still can't believe I won third place with this costume at Alcon 2011!! *so happy*
